Leonardo Avila has been promoted to associate publisher of Ophthalmology Times.
Avila joined the magazine's parent company, Advanstar Communications Inc., in November 2003. Since then, he has made numerous advertising and special-project contributions in addition to playing a key role in the magazine's international expansion and customer/key opinion leader development.
Before joining Advanstar, he worked at Slack Inc., where he was international sales manager for the Ocular Surgery News international editions. Prior to that, he served as market research manager for Slack and market development manager for Interdelta Global Corp.
