The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) will hold its first Summer Refractive Congress Aug. 3 to 7, 2005, in Seattle.

The meeting will strive for two goals: It will be focused on all of the refractive technologies available today; and it will be structured so that attendees will be able to interact intensively with recognized experts in the field.

Sessions at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel will run from 7 a.m. until 12 p.m. each day, with various social events afterward. There will be no formal exhibits, although industry representatives are invited to attend and interact with physicians. The call for papers will be mailed in January.
