April 2 voting deadline for OWL award

Members of Ophthalmic Women Leaders (OWL) have until April 2 to vote for the winner of the group's 2012 Visionary Woman Award. Tamara Bogetti, MBA, Suzanne Bruno, MBA, COE, and Marguerite McDonald, MD, are the three finalists this year.

Bodega Bay, CA-Members of Ophthalmic Women Leaders (OWL) have until April 2 to vote for the winner of the group’s 2012 Visionary Woman Award. Tamara Bogetti, MBA, Suzanne Bruno, MBA, COE, and Marguerite McDonald, MD, are the three finalists this year.

A committee of the OWL board selected the finalists from a list of nominees generated by the OWL membership. The award will be presented April 23 at the opening reception held in conjunction with the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery annual meeting in Chicago.

“These three women have demonstrated incredible leadership in their careers and helped countless other women along the way,” said OWL President Jan Beiting.

The three finalists represent women in different roles in ophthalmology. Bogetti is a publisher at Bryn Mawr Communications, Bruno is the administrator of Horizon Eye Care in Southern New Jersey, and Dr. McDonald is an ophthalmologist with Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island.
