AMO sells monthly contact lenses in Europe, Asia

Santa Ana, CA-Advanced Medical Optics Inc. (AMO) plans to sell its COMPLETE Aquavision monthly contact lenses in Europe and certain Asia Pacific markets through an agreement with CooperVision Limited, a unit of The Cooper Companies.

Santa Ana, CA-Advanced Medical Optics Inc. (AMO) plans to sell its COMPLETE Aquavision monthly contact lenses in Europe and certain Asia Pacific markets through an agreement with CooperVision Limited, a unit of The Cooper Companies.

Under terms of the deal, AMO will have exclusive sales rights to the hydrogel HEMA/GMA contact lens in select markets. AMO will begin marketing the lens along with a compatible multi-purpose solution and a lens-cleaning device in what it will call the COMPLETE Experience in the third quarter of 2004.
