Amniotic membrane good option for ocular surface repair
Dorado, Puerto Rico-General ophthalmologists are now able to consider amniotic membrane transplantation (AMT) for patients needing ocular surface repair with the availability of fresh frozen or dehydrated amniotic membranes, reported Eduardo C. Alfonso, MD, who spoke during the Current Concepts in Ophthalmology meeting here, sponsored by Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Ophthalmology Times.
