Boston-Alphaeon Corp. launches an innovative ophthalmology practice development platform (TouchMD) that helps specialty physicians engage patients in the education process before, during, and after the consultation.

The launch is the result of a partnership formed between TouchMD and Eyemaginations. The partnership will ensure that users have access to the highest quality videos and largest library of content designed specifically for ophthalmology, according to the companies.

“TouchMD is a huge step forward in modernizing the patient education experience,” said Shareef Mahdavi, Alphaeon chief marketing officer.

"It's exciting to bring Eyemaginations [together with TouchMD], so that ophthalmologists can run more profitable practices and have more satisfied patients,” added Kary Smith, TouchMD chief executive officer.
