Alexander joins Vistakon as director, professional affairs

Jacksonville, FL-Carol Alexander, OD, FAAO, has joined Vistakon Inc. as director, professional affairs. Dr. Alexander is a private practitioner, with more than 20 years in practice. She is a past president of the Ohio Optometric Association (OOA) and has also served on several national American Optometric Association (AOA) committees in the areas of regulation and legislation.

Jacksonville, FL-Carol Alexander, OD, FAAO, has joined Vistakon Inc. as director, professional affairs. Dr. Alexander is a private practitioner, with more than 20 years in practice. She is a past president of the Ohio Optometric Association (OOA) and has also served on several national American Optometric Association (AOA) committees in the areas of regulation and legislation.

A fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (AAO), Dr. Alexander has received many honors and awards including being selected as the OOA Young Optometrist of the Year (1992) and the AOA National Young Optometrist of the Year (1997). She was most recently recognized as Ohio's Optometrist of the Year at the EastWest Eye Conference in October 2006.

Dr. Alexander attended The Ohio State University College of Optometry, where she received her Doctor of Optometry in 1987. She is a member of the AAO, AOA, OOA, and Toledo Area Optometric Society.
