Acrylic IOL Implanted in Children Offers Biocompatibility
CHARLESTON, SC-A three-piece acrylic IOL implanted in pediatric patients offered good clinical biocompatibility when compared with a historical control group of one-piece polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) devices, said M. Edward Wilson, MD, Pierre G. Jenkins Professor and Chairman, Storm Eye Institute, Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston.
