At ABB, annual CL savings are in the cards

ABB Optical has launched a service that enables on-line creation of an Annual Supply Savings Card for use in patient presentations. The two-sided, laminated, 8 1/2" x 11" card illustrates the potential savings patients can realize by purchasing annual contact lens (CL) supplies for up to eight soft lens brands on-line.

Fort Lauderdale, FL-ABB Optical has launched a service that enables on-line creation of an Annual Supply Savings Card for use in patient presentations. The two-sided, laminated, 8 1/2" x 11" card illustrates the potential savings patients can realize by purchasing annual contact lens (CL) supplies for up to eight soft lens brands on-line.

Eye-care professionals (ECPs) design the card on-line, customizing its contents by specifying which CL brands are offered and the practice's retail pricing for each brand. Current manufacturer rebates are shown on the card including patient savings, which are automatically calculated and displayed prominently. After approving the card layout, which includes the practice name, the process is completed with an on-line credit card payment of $32 for two cards. The professionally created designed cards are then delivered to the practice within 5 working days.

Most ECPs want to sell an annual supply of lenses to disposable CL patients in order to increase practice revenue and improve patient retention. But less than 20% of patients in a typical practice purchase an annual supply during their exam visit.

The new ABB Sales Card was designed to address this need so that patients will better understand and take advantage of the levels of savings available to them.

For more information on the sales card program, call ABB at 800/852-8089.
