AAOE meeting offers practice management consultations and courses

San Francisco-The American Academy of Ophthalmic Executives (AAOE) in New Orleans this year will offer more than 100 hours of instruction sessions.

San Francisco-The American Academy of Ophthalmic Executives (AAOE) in New Orleans this year will offer more than 100 hours of instruction sessions.

Some highlighted sessions include, "Finding technicians where there are none," a course which will address recruitment, in-house training, and marketing of the field to an unaware public.

"A brave new Medicare world: pay for performance and other policy updates for 2008 and beyond" will discuss how Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services is incorporating these activities into the Medicare physician payment structure and what the future holds.

Besides course programs there will also be a technology pavilion, academy experts answering questions that range from coding to technology, and one-on-one consultations with professional practice management experts.
