AAO, SOE to highlight cataracts, eye disease

San Francisco-A discussion of medical policy in the United States and around the world by the administrator and chief executive officer for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services will highlight the joint meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the European Society of Ophthalmology meeting next month.

San Francisco-A discussion of medical policy in the United States and around the world by the administrator and chief executive officer for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services will highlight the joint meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the European Society of Ophthalmology meeting next month.

The 4-day meeting, to be held Oct. 23 to 26 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, will feature Thomas Scully as the keynote speaker during the opening session.

Other highlights will include an interactive debate of current clinical concepts in cataract and corneal disease, cataract controversies, and a symposium examining the development of refractive surgery.
