AAO announces participants for 2009 LDP

The American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) has announced the participants for its 2009 Leadership Development Program (LDP).

San Francisco-The American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) has announced the participants for its 2009 Leadership Development Program (LDP). The program is intended to recognize and support ophthalmologists with potential to become leaders in various ophthalmic societies.

State, subspecialty, and special-interest ophthalmology societies are invited by the AAO to nominate an Eye MD to the program. The chosen participants attend four education sessions to address a variety of leadership, advocacy, and governance topics.

Candidates selected to participate in the Leadership Development Program class of 2009 are: Britton B. Carter, MD; Arthur J. Sit, MD; James B. Randleman, MD; Mathew R. Sapp, MD; Eric B. Suhler, MD, MPH; Kristin Carter, MD; Ivan J. Suñer, MD; JoAnn A. Giaconi, MD; Ron W. Pelton, MD, PhD; Carl G. Glittenberg, MD; Chris Albanis, MD; John Kitchens, MD; Lawrence Piazza, MD; Michael J. Price, MD; Scott T. Schaefer, MD; Linda M. Tsai, MD; Daniel V. Will, MD; Tamara R. Vrabec, MD; Aaron M. Miller, MD; and Alan L. Wagner, MD.
