2018 Research Scholar Honoree information page

Article

PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONOphthalmology Times invites all ophthalmic institutions to nominate residents and fellows involved in unique and notable research relative to the topic of retina.   Nominees are to submit a summary and abstract to be considered for this exclusive recognition program. This educational activity is intended for fellows and residents. All submissions must include retina research that will contribute to the retinal community.

A panel of expert judges will review and select the top 15 submissions. Ophthalmology Times will invite the top 15 nominees to present at the awards reception held during AAO 2018 on October 25, 2018 in Chicago. In a reception afterward, Ophthalmology Times will announce 1st- through 5th-place winners.

To make this valuable education experience available to a broader audience, Ophthalmology Times will publish top presentations on ophthalmologytimes.com, and include summaries in an edition of Ophthalmology Times. The top 5 finalists will have their entries featured in a supplement to a peer-reviewed publication.  Therefore, to be considered as a finalist in this program, we request first right of refusal for publication for inclusion in the peer-reviewed journal.

This is an educational activity supported through an unrestricted educational grant from Regeneron Pharmaceuticals and from Carl Zeiss Meditec, Inc.
