Jacksonville, FL-The Vision Care Institute which just launched the AchieveVision Program for Olympic athletes and hopefuls will be donating to the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) vision-care equipment to help athletes with vision.

More than half of Olympic athletes feel that they would have a performance edge during competition if they could improve their current vision.

However, more than one-third said it had been 2 years or more since their last eye exam.

Equipment donations include the Optomap retinal exam from Optos plc, which scans for early detection of disorders and diseases in the retina.
