Versatile finishing system integrates functions

Gerber Coburn's Kappa CTD finishing system integrates its CT Tracer and Blocker with its CTD Edger and Drill to perform critical process functions with one streamlined system.

The versatile, user-friendly system uses automatic intelligent technology to locate quickly a lens' optical center, bifocal segment, or fitting cross. Kappa CT's computer-controlled blocking arm and motorized suction head then ensure proper handling of even the most fragile lenses. The system's tracer then identifies drilling coordinates. Then, by combining parameters such as feed and rotation, the drilling operation is optimized.
