Two retired executives join B&L board

Bausch & Lomb announced the addition of two members to its board of directors, J. Raymond Elliott and Richard F. Wallman.

Rochester NY-Bausch & Lomb (B&L) announced the addition of two members to its board of directors, J. Raymond Elliott and Richard F. Wallman.

From 2001 until his retirement in 2007, Elliott served as chairmen, president, and chief executive of orthopedic instrument manufacturer Zimmer Holdings Inc. Wallman was senior vice president and chief financial officer of aerospace equipment manufacturer Honeywell International Inc. from 1995 until his retirement in 2003.

For almost 30 years Elliott held general management positions in the health care, media, and consumer products industries. He also recently joined the board of Boston Scientific Corp.

Before his time at Honeywell, Wallman was vice president and controller at IBM Corp. and held leadership positions at Chrysler Corp.

These two executives join newly appointed board chairman Gerald Ostrov, chief executive officer Joseph P. Landy, Elizabeth H. Weatherman, and Sean D. Carney, all managing directors of Warburg Pincus LLC, and D. Scott Mackesy, general partner, Welsh Carson Anderson & Stowe.
