Topcon introduces first patient-assisted refraction system
Topcon Medical Systems Inc. (Booth #308) has introduced the new BV-1000,the first patient-assisted "intelligent" refraction system. TheBV-1000 allows ophthalmologists to delegate the refractive process to thepatient. Using the standard or custom selected sequences, the easy-to-useBV-1000 guides the patient through the entire refraction process with aseries of voice prompts and interactive touch-screen displays.
