SynergEyes sponsors NKCF

Article

SynergEyes Inc. will continue to be a major sponsor of the National Keratoconus Foundation, a patient outreach and education program of the non-profit organization Discovery Eye Foundation, with a contribution of $20,000.

San Diego, CA-SynergEyes Inc. will continue to be a major sponsor of the National Keratoconus Foundation (NKCF), a patient outreach and education program of the non-profit organization Discovery Eye Foundation, with a contribution of $20,000.

As a part of the company’s sponsorship, its hybrid contact lens (ClearKone), which has FDA clearance for patients with keratoconus or irregular corneas, will be featured in two upcoming issues of the NKCF newsletter, and the company will sponsor three patient education seminars this year to continue providing information to potential patient candidates.

“The NKCF is an important source of information for [patients with keratoconus] worldwide to learn about the disease and available vision-correction options,” said Kellie Kaseburg, vice president of global marketing for SynergEyes.

The hybrid contact lens vaults over the cornea in an effort to minimize the risk of corneal scarring. Also, the soft skirt of the design aims to provide all-day comfort and help center the lens over the visual axis to decrease visual distortions and provide superior vision.
