Springtime in San Francisco
For one of the best panoramic views of San Francisco and the bay, take a trip to Telegraph Hill (east of North Beach) and climb Coit Tower. At the base of this round stone tower, built in 1933, are murals completed by 25 artists as part of the Works Progress Administration effort under President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The tower is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and there is a small admission charge (415/362-0808).
