
Society offers open access to online neuro-ophthalmology library

NANOS, a professional neuro-ophthalmologic organization that seeks to further the field through research, education, and ongoing clinical discussion, is a free, open-access source of digital content designed for the education of any healthcare professional, at any level of experience.
NOVEL offers two curricula for neuro-ophthalmology, both hosted on Stat!Ref (Teton Data Systems, TDS): NANOS Illustrated Curriculum and NANOS Examination Techniques for Neuro-Ophthalmology (NExT).
The
Learning resources
Learning resources come in a variety of formats, designed to facilitate differing learning styles. In addition, learners are provided access to the foundational textbook Walsh & Hoyt’s Clinical Neuro-Ophthalmology: 6th Edition as well as links to other relevant titles such as Neuroimaging in Ophthalmology: 2nd Edition, Neurology of Eye Movements: 5th Edition, and Eye Movement Disorders in Clinical Practice.
The
NOVEL is an educational tool that has international impact, used in more than 150 countries and constantly expanding. The NANOS Illustrated Curriculum and the NANOS Examination Techniques for Neuro-ophthalmology are available through academic libraries and also individuals with a license through Stat!Ref.
