The annual ARVO Social will be held Sunday from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. in the Grand Floridian Foyer. This year's event features the ARVO Pub, with the taste and sounds of Key West. Enjoy light hors d'oeuvres and drinks immediately following the ARVO/Alcon Keynote Session. All meeting attendees are invited.

The Members-in-Training Social Honoring Travel Grant Recipients will be held Monday from 8 to 9 p.m. in the Grand Floridian Foyer. All students and trainees are invited to attend and honor of the 2009 Travel Grant recipients.

The Women in Eye and Vision Research (WEAVR) Luncheon organized by the ARVO Foundation for Eye Research (AFER) will be held Tuesday from noon to 1:30 p.m. in Palm B. AFER has established WEAVR to develop and strengthen the career path of women in eye and vision research. This inaugural luncheon event will feature guest speaker Adrienne Graves, president and chief executive officer, Santen Inc. It will include a silent auction to benefit AFER travel grants for women. Tickets are $50 for regular ARVO members and guests and $30 for ARVO members-in-training. The price includes a donation to support the first WEAVR travel grantees in 2010.

The ARVO Career Fair will be held Tuesday from noon to 4 p.m. in Hall B/C, Registration Area. Speak with potential employers in an informal setting. This event is open to all meeting attendees.

ARVO Rocks! will be held Tuesday from 9 p.m. to midnight at the Marriott Harbour Beach Resort, Caribbean Ballroom. This 7th annual event features classic rock performed by ARVO members and other musicians. The concert, with dancing and cash bar, is open to all meeting attendees.

Pizza with a Prof: Ask the Experts will be held Wednesday from noon to 1:30 p.m. in Palm B. Trainees and junior faculty can network over lunch with experienced colleagues for their guidance and career development advice. Tables will be limited to 10 participants to allow for a high level of personal interaction. Pizza, salad, brownies, and beverages will be served. Advance registration of $5 per person is required.

The ARVO Classical Concert will be held Wednesday from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency, Panorama Ballroom. This performance by ARVO members is open to all attendees.
