Smaller phaco handpiece offers comfort, cutting efficiency
Hanover, NH-A redesigned 50-kHz ultrasound generator and transducer (Surgical Design Corp.) enables the production of a phaco handpiece that is more ergonomic and operates within a reduced power range, yet provides similar cutting efficiency compared with existing, 40- to 44-kHz instruments, said Jack A.
