Scotopic pupil size a factor in surgery
Los Angeles-Analyses of wavefront measurements obtained in ametropic eyes using the LADARWave system (Alcon) show there is a tight correlation between total aberrations expressed by root mean square (RMS) values and pupil diameter. However, the slope of the line correlating total aberrations and pupil size is variable, said Ezra Maguen, MD.
