Ring Segments Useful for Contact Lens-Intolerant Keratoconus
BELO HORIZONTE, BRAZIL-Intrastromal implantation of two semicircular ring segments (Ferrara ring) is a safe and effective method for long-term correction of contact lens intolerance in keratoconus patients, said Paulo F. Cunha, MD, PhD, inventor of the Ferrara Intrastromal Ring and clinic director, Center for Advanced Ophthalmology, Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
