Remember basics when coding under new guidelines
With the recent change by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (formerly the Health Care Financing Administration) in policy on diagnostic testing, patient care and practice profitability are expected to benefit. The agency has relaxed some supervision requirements, so ophthalmologists can devote more time to other more critical practice-based activities.
