A prospective study: Intracameral injection has little effect on pain, photophobia
Ewa Beach, HI-The addition of intracameral lidocaine to topical anesthesia during cataract extraction surgery does not reduce patients' intraoperative pain or photophobia. However, retinal and optic nerve function were not diminished with the addition of intracameral lidocaine, according to the investigators who reported their results recently.
