Marlborough, MA-Optos Inc. is soliciting "real-life" Optomap Retinal Exam case studies for use in continuing education opportunities for those in the ophthalmic and optometric industries.

The company is looking for cases in which the Optomap has made a difference in the clinical diagnosis and subsequent treatment. The cases will be used in its Retinal Exam Advanced Learning Images Program and will be featured in monthly "Webinars" and on the Optos Web site. One winner and five runners-up will be highlighted each month, and once each quarter, Optos will publish one of the featured case studies in a trade magazine.

To contribute cases, doctors should complete a submission form, including the patient's symptoms and medical history, interesting observations, and clinical analysis, and include the Optomap images along with the prescribed treatment and outcome. Doctors must obtain written consent from the patient stating that the images can be used for educational purposes and potentially published as part of a clinical case study. The materials can be sent to customerimages@optos.com
or send a disk to Sandi Hughey at Optos, 199 Forest St., Marlborough, MA 01752.
