Options yield chance for dramatic gains, losses
The principle of derivatives, or contractual instruments that generate returns based upon the value of some underlying asset, was introduced in my column last month (See Ophthalmology Times, Oct. 15 issue, Page 74). One of the better-known examples of a derivative is the typical options contract.
