One-piece Acrylic IOL Fares Well in Biomechanical Tests
MINNEAPOLIS-Laboratory tests evaluating the biomechanical characteristics of foldable IOLs demonstrate clear advantages for one-piece acrylic implants, although clinical studies are necessary to define the in vivo relevance of such findings, according to Stephen S. Lane, MD, clinical professor of ophthalmology, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.
