Glendora, CA-Westcon Contact Lens Co. Inc. has agreed to stop using the name 'Oasis' for its Horizon Oasis contact lenses to settle a dispute with OASIS Medical Inc.

Glendora, CA-Westcon Contact Lens Co. Inc. has agreed to stop using the name "Oasis" for its Horizon Oasis contact lenses to settle a dispute with OASIS Medical Inc.

OASIS Medical objected to Westcon's use of the name because of its trademark of OASIS. Westcon, a custom contact lens manufacturer in Grand Junction, CO, had tried to register the name Horizon Oasis in connection with its line of contact lenses.

OASIS is also pursuing a lawsuit in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Johnson & Johnson and Johnson & Johnson Vision Care Inc., for their use of the name OASYS in Acuvue Oasys contact lenses.
