List recognizes Rayner

Rayner Intraocular Lenses Ltd. was included in The [London] Sunday Times PricewaterhouseCoopers Profit Track 100 ?Ones to Recognize.?

Hove, England-Rayner Intraocular Lenses Ltd. was included in The [London] Sunday Times PricewaterhouseCoopers Profit Track 100 “Ones to Recognize.” The list showcases 10 companies that either have had or predict a good profit growth although they may not have achieved the minimum 42% annual growth over 3 years required to be named to the Profit Track 100 list, according to Fast Track, compiler of the Profit Track 100.

In addition to running a chain of 130 opticians covering much of England, Scotland, and Wales, Rayner is Britain’s first and only IOL manufacturer. The company has seen its profits almost double in the past 3 years to the equivalent of about $11.2 million in U.S. dollars. Rayner intends to continue on this path by expanding its IOL division into additional markets.

“It is an important recognition for Rayner to be highlighted as one of the fastest-growing private companies to recognize,” said Donald John Munro, the company’s chairman and managing director. “The basis of our success is down to our commitment and our people, who are both innovative and entrepreneurial.”

A “One to Recognize” winner will be announced at a June 14 event.
