Leading office designer publishes 'how-to' book

The new how-to book Optometric Office Design Process & Pitfalls by Barbara L. Wright, CID, aims to help eye-care professionals (ECPs) prevent many common mistakes that can turn building a dream office into a nightmare.

"Optometric Office Design Process & Pitfalls takes the struggle out of planning and helps ECPs 'disaster-proof' their office design projects. The book covers the entire planning process, from selecting a location to financing, design, and construction considerations," said Wright.

"Building a new office is a complex process with many steps and possible pitfalls along the way. Ninety percent of all design and construction disasters are preventable-if you know how," she added.

In addition to the author's experience, three top eye-care industry business consultants-Gary Gerber, OD, of The Power Practice, Bill Nolan of Williams Group, and Al Cleinman of Cleinman Performance Partners-also share their expertise in the book.
