Jeffrey Whitman, MD, receives Doctors of Distinction Award

Dallas-Dr Jeffrey Whitman, president and chief surgeon of the Key-Whitman Eye Center, and president of the American College of Eye Surgeons, will be presented with the Doctors of Distinction Award at the Dallas Chapter of Hadassah's third annual gala.

Dallas-Dr Jeffrey Whitman, president and chief surgeon of the Key-Whitman Eye Center, and president of the American College of Eye Surgeons, will be presented with the Doctors of Distinction Award at the Dallas Chapter of Hadassah's third annual gala.

The award is for a local doctor or group of doctors who are dedicated to the community as well as to their profession.

"Dr. Whitman is committed to advancing the field of eye surgery, becoming one of the few physicians in North Texas to be board-certified in LASIK. In addition he and his wife have traveled to Israel several times to see for themselves the incredible medical advances being made there in the field of ophthalmology," says Robin Teig, director of the Dallas Chapter of Hadassah.

The gala will take place at the Westin Park Central, 12720 Merit Drive in Dallas, at 6 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 28. Tickets are $180 per person and advertising and sponsorship opportunities are available.
