iCare tonometer hits the US market

The FDA has approved an import license application for the iCare tonometer, produced by Finnish firm Tiolat Oy.
The tonomoter is a first-of-its-kind portable device that does not require anaesthesia, making it especially suitable for children It features an ultralight, sensitive probe which, as it makes only momentary contact with the eye, avoids corneal reflexes such as blinking.
