Glaucoma Management Challenges
Chicago-Exfoliation syndrome (XFS) is an age-related disease characterizedby the production and progressive accumulation of a fibrillar extracellularmaterial in many ocular tissues. XFS is an important cause of glaucoma,in that the disease occurs more commonly in eyes with XFS than in thosewithout it. In patients with XFS, the risk of developing glaucoma is cumulative.
