Eyeglass Guide 2.0 can turn eyeglasses into 'my glasses'

Transitions Optical has updated its popular Eyeglass Guide to include an interactive eyeglass customization process.

Seattle-Transitions Optical has updated its popular Eyeglass Guide to include an interactive eyeglass customization process. Still found at http://www.eyeglassguide.com/, Eyeglass Guide 2.0 enables patients to "build" a virtual pair of eyeglasses based on answers to a series of lifestyle questions.

Reflecting consumer feedback, Eyeglass Guide 2.0 provides eyeglass wearers with flattering frame ideas and introduces users to sight-enhancing lens options and the benefits of multiple pairs. After completing the guide, users can print a record of his or her customized eyeglasses to take to their next optical appointment. To help patients discuss the options with their eye-care professionals (ECPs), the results are divided into five sections-My Life, My Lenses, My Options, My Frames, and My Look.

Rose Wallace, marketing manager, lens manufacturers at Transitions, said, "With an eyeglass suggestion tailored to their lifestyle and personal preferences, consumers will be more likely to get excited about their next pair of glasses and will want to share their choices with their ECPs, giving the ECP a foundation to better address their unique vision wear needs."
