Plattsburgh, NY-Author, lecturer, and Internet marketing specialist David M. Pearce-who most recently served as director of sales and marketing for Champlain, NY-based Imperial Optical-has formed Responsible Marketing Consulting Services (ResMark Consulting). The new entity will provide marketing services and support to small-business owners, primarily those in the eye-care industry.

For the past year, Pearce, president of ResMark Consulting, has presented his course, approved by the Council on Optometric Practitioner Education, titled "Marketing your eye-care practice on the Internet" to hundreds of eye-care practitioners.

"The feedback I received was overwhelmingly positive, and the amount of interest made it clear that eye-care providers want and need marketing help," said Pearce. "One message I heard over and over was that eye-care practitioners felt underprepared when it came to marketing their eye-care practice."

"I formed ResMark Consulting to bring these key resources to independent eye-care practitioners who are ready to turn their marketing efforts up a notch," said Pearce.
