Dry eye: what's in the pipeline?
Dry eye has become a prevalent disease affecting about 15% of the population.1 The disease is characterized by feelings of dryness, burning/stinging, grittiness, and foreign body sensation. These symptoms alter the patients' quality of life and cause damage to the ocular surface.
