Dr. Boorady appointed COO of Eyemaginations

Towson, MD-Eyemaginations Inc. announced the appointment of Joseph Boorady, OD, as chief operating officer. Dr. Boorady joins Eyemaginations from his previous position as vice president for clinical affairs and executive director of the University Optometric Center at the SUNY College of Optometry, New York.

Towson, MD-Eyemaginations Inc. announced the appointment of Joseph Boorady, OD, as chief operating officer. Dr. Boorady joins Eyemaginations from his previous position as vice president for clinical affairs and executive director of the University Optometric Center at the SUNY College of Optometry, New York.

Dr. Boorady will be responsible for key business development initiatives as well as day-to-day operations, with his primary focus on developing and enhancing the infrastructure of a company experiencing dramatic expansion. He will work closely with Eyemaginations' Jeff Peres, president and chief executive officer, in developing strategy, identifying new markets, and maintaining unique content to solidify further the company's position as a market leader.

At SUNY, Dr. Boorady was responsible for a multimillion dollar enterprise, more than 400 employees, and the care of more than 150,000 patient visits per year. Additionally, he helped implement paperless electronic health records in 100-plus exam rooms.
