Doctors learn leadership skills in AAO program

Nineteen members of the American Academy of Ophthalmology(AAO) are learning what it takes to become leaders at state, local, andnational levels by participating in the AAO's 2003-2004 Leadership DevelopmentProgram.The program is designed to identify and prepare ophthalmologists to takeon leadership roles. They will learn to develop leadership skills and meetwith AAO leaders four times during the year, including during the annualmeeting. The AAO invites each state, subspecialty, and specialized interestsociety to nominate one of its members, while a committee selects finalists.
