"This plan enhancement is a great value for our subscribers," said Richard Sanchez, president and chief executive officer, Advantica EyeCare. "Our members can take advantage of the benefits of glare reduction and protection from ultraviolet light that contribute to reduced eye strain and fatigue and help preserve the health of the eye.

"Vision plans are a cost-effective way for employers to provide or contribute to preventative-type employee benefits," he added. "These kinds of benefits are a growing segment not only because they are perceived as a value by employees but also because they play a role in productivity and overall health."
