CooperVision expands patient videos, online CE

Further expanding into new media territory, CooperVision has added a patient video to Cooper-Vision.tv, and two video-based continuing education (CE) courses to its popular online learning center.

Fairport, NY-Further expanding into new media territory, CooperVision has added a patient video to Cooper-Vision.tv, and two video-based continuing education (CE) courses to its popular online learning center.

The informational video, "Avaira with Aquaform technology: Contact lenses drenched in comfort," now available at http://www.coopervision.tv/, presents patients with information on the company's Avaira 2-week silicone hydrogel contact lenses, which use the company's proprietary Aquaform technology.

"Patients are turning to the Web for medical information before they reach their doctor's office. CooperVision.tv is one way that practitioners can ensure that their patients are receiving up-to-date and educational information about CooperVision contact lenses, thus furthering their ability to provide patients with the best possible vision care," said Mark Bertolin, vice president of technology and sales development, CooperVision.

Also, the company has added two free CE courses to its popular online learning center ( http://www.learning.coopervision.com/). The 1-hour courses are approved Council on Optometric Practitioner Education.

Bertolin explained, "The increased cost of travel coupled with the impact of time spent away from the office makes Web-based continuing education opportunities more important than ever."
