Fairfax, VA-The American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators (ASOA) has formed an affinity relationship with EyeCanHear LLC of Tampa, FL. EyeCanHear offers eye-care professionals tools to allow their practices to offer hearing-related services for patients.

“Shrinking Medicare reimbursements and uncertain implementation of new health care laws and regulations have created a business environment in which adding ancillary services may become a real necessity for practice growth,” said ASOA President Lisa Gangi. “Providing a hearing services component to our practices makes good sense, as a majority of the patients we see every day aged 50 years and over suffer from a decline in both vision and hearing.”

EyeCanHear says it provides elements ophthalmic practices needs to make hearing care a significant contributor to growth.
