Allergan supports PBA advocacy

Chicago-After many years as a partner and supporter of Prevent Blindness America (PBA), Allergan Inc. has awarded PBA an advocacy grant to provide funding for The Eye Care Advocacy Network (Eye CAN).

Eye CAN is the advocacy home for PBA and its efforts to encourage local community members and leaders to promote vision and eye health through legislation and advocacy. The Web site (http://www.preventblindness.org/advocacy) will give recognition to advocates and include federal and state legislative updates. It will also serve as a forum for success stories and words of advice to help build a strong, dedicated team of eye health advocates.

“Allergan continues to be a proud partner of PBA and their sight-saving programs that seek to provide much needed eye care services to those in our own communities,” said Julian Gangolli, corporate vice president, president, North America Pharmaceuticals of Allergan. “Through advocacy and public health outreach, we work together to educate our nation’s leaders, as well as the public, on the importance of eye health.”
