ABB Optical acquires new headquarters facility

Fort Lauderdale, FL-ABB Optical has acquired a 76,000 square-foot warehouse and office facility in Coral Springs, FL. The company will move its headquarters to Coral Springs from Fort Lauderdale in 2007.

Fort Lauderdale, FL-ABB Optical has acquired a 76,000 square-foot warehouse and office facility in Coral Springs, FL. The company will move its headquarters to Coral Springs from Fort Lauderdale in 2007.

The new facility more than doubles the size of ABB's Florida distribution center and corporate offices. In 2005, ABB sales revenue increased 39%; a similar increase is projected during 2006.

"ABB sales have grown rapidly as a result of acquisition of competitive distributors and though internal growth of our customer base," said Brad Weinbrum, ABB president. "We continue to invest in facilities and state-of-the-art automation to improve our service."
