Results reported: Ocular implant safe for AMD in early tests

Rockville, MD-Ocular implants of EntreMed's 2-methoxyestradiol (Panzem) showed no toxicity and effectively inhibited the growth of new blood vessels in preclinical models of age-related macular degeneration (AMD), the company said.
