Prevent Blindness America Swing Fore Sight Golf Tournament supports eye programs

The annual Swing Fore Sight Golf Tournament, supporting the sight-saving programs of Prevent Blindness America (PBA), will coincide with Vision Expo West.

Chicago-Sight-saving programs of Prevent Blindness America (PBA) will be supported by the 5th Annual Swing Fore Sight Golf Tournament, a four-person scramble set for Sept. 5 at the Royal Links Golf Club in Las Vegas.

The annual event, coinciding with Vision Expo West, provides participants the opportunity to support PBA’s mission while playing golf with top executives from the vision industry.

“Thanks to the continued support of those in the vision industry, we are able to come together once a year at the Swing Fore Sight Tournament and make a positive impact in the lives of adults and children through healthy eyesight,” said Hugh R. Parry, PBA president and chief executive officer.

Spots for players are still available. Rates are $2,750 for foursomes and $700 for individual golfers.

The event will feature various contest holes, highlighted by the chance to win a trip to Hawaii and a NASCAR driving experience for sinking a hole-in-one, courtesy of the National Association of Vision Care Plans.

Transitions Healthy Sight for Life Fund is the tournament’s “gold sponsor.” Additional sponsors include 1-800 Contacts, Carl Zeiss Vision, Essilor, First Nonprofit Insurance, First Vision Media Group, Hilco, Hoya Vision Care, Jobson Interactive, Jobson Optical Group, Kenmark Optical, National Association of Vision Care Plans, PFO Global, Pixel Optics, Refac, REM Eyewear, Satisloh North America, US Vision, Vision Service Plan, the Vision Council, Viva International, and Zyloware.
