Preoperative ofloxacin minimizes conjunctival bacterial flora
Stanford, CA-Topical ofloxacin 0.3% (Ocuflox, Allergan) treatment for 3 days preoperatively is more effective than a short-course on the day of surgery alone for reducing conjunctival bacterial load during the perioperative period, said Christopher N. Ta, MD.
