World Cornea Congress honors five physicians

Washington, DC—Five ophthalmologists were honored recently as part of World Cornea Congress V. The congress is held every 10 years to review advances in the field.

Washington, DC-Five ophthalmologists were honored recently as part of World Cornea Congress V. The congress is held every 10 years to review advances in the field.

The Congress Medal honors lifetime achievement and significant, innovative contributions to the field of cornea, external disease, and corneal surgery.

The newest medallists, who received their award here in April included:

"They pioneered innovation in research, clinical medicine, and teaching that set the course for our entire generation," Dr. Mannis explained. "We owe them an enormous debt."
