What are low vision aids?
Low vision aids typically include hand-held magnifiers, stand magnifiers, telescopes, closed-circuit televisions or video magnifiers, adsorptive filters, and spectacle magnifiers. Since the visual needs of most patients with low vision are changing continually, many often will have three or more low vision aids to accommodate changing visual needs.
